When summer comes there is nothing better than having some people over for an impromptu summer party. People can sit back and relax, cook some burgers, enjoy a cold beer, watch the kids splash and play in the pool. What could be better? Not a lot it seems!
Summer parties are what summer is all about and you don't need a backyard pool to pull off a fun time for all. If you do have a pool the party can happen around it, and once night falls you can put pretty little floating lights on the water for some ambiance. If you don't have a pool, don't fret, you can rent a bouncy water slide for tons of fun. They inflate in minutes, you simply hook up the hose and away you go.
Not into the water theme so much? That's okay, there are plenty of other ideas, like a Luau. Each guest can wear a lei and you can make fun drinks with little umbrellas in them. Simply filling kiddie pools with sand lets you pretend you're at the beach and Christmas lights twinkling around on the deck, patio or umbrellas add a pretty touch.
As for food, if you don't want to do the cooking, you can rent a hot dog machine and/or a nacho machine so the guests can help themselves and you can have fun right along with them. There are also roving ice cream carts that everyone will love, popcorn machines and machines for guests to make their own cotton candy, all of which can be rented with ease, set up easily and make your job as host that much easier.
If you were looking to go all out and make the next get together more of a large scale party, what about renting a mobile petting zoo or a pony for rides? These just kick it up a notch and add to the fun. Clowns, magicians and superheros/princesses are also a great addition to a party if there will be a lot of kids in attendance.
